The range has expanded: from standard concretes with compressive strengths of 30 mpa to high performance concretes (bhp: more than 50 mpa) and very high performance (bthp: more than 80 mpa). In particular, ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC), which was developed in the mid-1990s, is very sensitive to these factors due to its extremely high compressive strength (in excess of 150 MPa) and flowable characteristics with high volume fractions of steel fibers (more than 2% by volume) , . To achieve such a high strength material, a low water-to-binder ratio (W/B) (normally W/B = 0.2) is applied with ultra-fine admixtures and heat treatment at 90 °C.
